Retail で評価されるのは「売る力」と「任せられる正確さ」
オーストラリアの小売店のマネージャーが知りたいのは、お客様に声をかけて商品を勧められるか、そしてレジや在庫の作業をミスなく任せられるかの 2 点です。日本の販売経験は丁寧な接客の裏付けとして高く評価されますが、「販売スタッフとして勤務」だけでは伝わりません。
月間の売上目標を何%達成したか、1 シフトで何件の会計を処理したか、セット販売（Add-on sales）でどれだけ客単価を上げたかなど、数字を 1 つでも入れると説得力が大きく変わります。正確な数字が分からない場合は「approximately」や「100+」のように概数で構いません。
応募のタイミングはクリスマス前が狙い目
オーストラリアの小売業は 11 月〜1 月のクリスマス商戦と Boxing Day セールに向けて、10 月頃から短期（Casual）スタッフを多く募集します。この時期はローカル経験がなくても採用されやすく、ここで働いた経験が次の応募での「Australian experience」になります。

UNIQLO や MUJI、Daiso などの日本ブランドの店舗、空港や観光地の免税店、日本食材のスーパーでは、日本語での接客や日本の商品知識がそのまま採用理由になります。Languages 欄に「Japanese (Native)」と書くのはもちろん、職歴でも「日本人観光客への対応」「日本語での商品説明」などを具体的に書きましょう。
家電量販店やアパレルでの経験は、商品知識（Product knowledge）と、売り場づくり（Visual merchandising）の経験として書くと伝わりやすくなります。

必要な資格・あると有利な資格

- First Aid Certificate
- 必須ではありませんが、大型店ではスタッフに応急処置の資格保有者を置く必要があり、持っているとプラスに見られることがあります。
- Forklift Licence (High Risk Work Licence)
- 倉庫・物流センターを併設する店舗やバックヤード中心の仕事では、フォークリフトの免許（LF）が評価されます。日本の免許は使えないため、オーストラリアで取得する必要があります。
